The Drifter is Mark Flynn, an Irish producer, DJ and singer. After an upbringing dabbling in different musical persuits, from bands and choirs to folk and traditional, a love for electronic music was born from ventures into Dublin nightlife. A move to Berlin ensued soon after.

He released his first solo work, the 'Lovers' EP on Permanent Vacation in late 2012. It received excellent feedback, James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem calling the E.P " really nice, gentle and strong." The A side "Day and Night" featured on Ruede Hagelstein's Edition of the Watergate mix series. His own vocals on the EP caught the attention of some of his peers, resulting in him recording vocals for Jacob Korn, Slow Hands, Erdbeerschnitzel, Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt, and Baikal. Further remixes for Woolfy vs. Projections, Uma, Ships and Slow Hands side project Male Madame have made him one to watch.

The Drifter's dj style, like his productions, definitely lean towards the hypnotic, melodic and emotive side of electronic music. No matter what genre he is playing. House, Techno, Disco. He learned his craft from hours of djing in bars and clubs and running clubnights. One such clubnight was Passion Beat, a night he ran in Berlin for over 3 years with his buddy Mano Le Tough. It gathered a loyal, steady following and quickly became known for it's two residents and the guest artists they booked. His reputation as a dj has steadily grown and brought him all over Europe.

He runs the record label Maeve together with two of his close friends, Mano Le Tough and Baikal. All three share a similar passion for deep emotive music, and the label has quickly become one to watch, releasing music from Baikal, Mano Le Tough and remixes from Ripperton and Dixon. Maeve 04 Again EP by The Drifter has just been released and is receiving some excellent feedback and being played by the likes of Dixon, Ame, Tale of Us among others.

2014 is shaping up to be a big year for The Drifter. A couple of EPs for Permanent Vacation are on the way, as well as a track featuring on the label's "If This Is House Give Me Your Money Back" compilation. And of course his Again EP on Maeve has just come out.

Dax Lee is a leader of the San Francisco Bay Area electronic music scene. As one of the area’s top promoters, Dax has worked relentlessly over the past two decades to provide quality music at the finest events. As a VJ, he has broken new ground in designing and mixing compelling visuals. Now, at long last, Dax has taken the reigns behind the mixer to present his own unique musical vision.

Dax Lee grew up in the sunny mountains of Santa Cruz. His late father chose the name Dax from a fictional work by the author Harold Robbins. Diogones Alejandro Xenos - or ‘Dax’ for short - is the hero of the gritty heroic novel “The Adventurers.” As the book sleeve states, “Diogenes for the fabled seeker of truth, Alejandro for the Conqueror of the World, and Xenos being a family name ... he was born in a land of suffering, passion, and brutality ... and came to manhood with the fearless heart of a killer and the searing sensuality of an unmatched lover.” And while Dax is farthest from anything resembling a killer, the quality of the heroic which is his namesake definitely resides within.
